What Clients Say
In Their Own Words
Hajah Kamariah bt. Yusoff
Retired, George Town
"I had been receiving a pension amount that never quite matched what I expected, but I did not know how to question it. The walkthrough session explained everything clearly β why the figure was what it was, and what records were missing. The written summary they gave me was something I could actually read and follow."

Tan Kheng Huat
Former Technician, Penang
"My EPF claim was declined in 2024 and I genuinely did not understand the reason. Pelindung reviewed the decision letter and told me honestly whether an appeal was worth pursuing. It was, and they prepared everything. Three months later, the matter was resolved. Communication throughout was good β I always knew what stage things were at."

Selvi Ramasamy
School Administrator, Kedah
"I came to Pelindung because my husband had just retired from the civil service and we were not sure how to manage both his KWAP pension and my private EPF. The complete plan sorted out everything β the review, two missing contribution records from an old employer, and a file for our children about the survivor entitlements. Worth every ringgit."

Mohd Wazir bin Hamid
Retired Civil Servant, Butterworth
"The team was patient with me. I came in knowing very little about what my pension entitlement should look like after 28 years of service. They went through the statement line by line. I left with a clear picture, a written note I could refer to, and for the first time, a sense that things were in order."

Loh Siew Fong
Factory Supervisor, Perak
"When I first enquired, I half-expected to be told I needed to commit to something expensive straight away. That is not what happened. They listened, looked at the documents I had, and gave me an honest picture of my options. I eventually proceeded with the review and appeal. The process was slower than I hoped but the updates were consistent."

Noor Azizah bt. Ibrahim
Nurse, Penang
"My mother had a pension dispute that had been sitting unresolved for almost two years before I found Pelindung. The team reviewed her case, found that the authority's original decision had omitted a period of service, and prepared an appeal on that basis. It was resolved within four months. We are very grateful."

How the Process Worked in Practice
These are representative accounts drawn from the types of matters we have handled. Details have been generalised to maintain confidentiality.
Case Study β Entitlement Walkthrough
Retired Teacher β Missing Contribution Period
The Situation
A retired secondary school teacher received her pension statement and noticed the total figure was lower than expected based on her years of service. She was not sure whether the difference was legitimate or an error.
What We Did
We conducted an entitlement walkthrough β reviewing her pension records against her employment history. We identified a gap of 14 months from an early posting that had not been reflected correctly in the authority's calculation.
The Outcome
A written summary was prepared and provided to her within two weeks. With a clear understanding of the discrepancy, she chose to proceed to a review and appeal, which was subsequently resolved in her favour over three months.
"I did not know I was owed anything. The walkthrough showed me what was there β and what was not."
Case Study β Claim Review & Appeal
Factory Manager β Declined EPF Withdrawal
The Situation
A 58-year-old factory manager applied for an early EPF withdrawal under a medical ground. The application was declined with a brief notice but no detailed explanation. He had supporting documentation but did not know how to respond formally.
What We Did
We assessed the decline letter and the medical documentation. The original application had not included a specific supporting form required by the EPF office. We prepared a revised submission with all required documentation and a measured covering letter.
The Outcome
The revised application was accepted within six weeks. The client received his withdrawal in the following month. Total time from initial review to resolution: approximately 11 weeks.
"They found the missing piece quickly. I had given up thinking it would work."
Case Study β Complete Protection Plan
Retired Couple β Dual Scheme Coordination
The Situation
A couple approaching retirement β husband from the civil service, wife with 30 years of private sector contributions β wanted to understand their combined position and ensure their three adult children would be able to manage survivor entitlements if needed.
What We Did
We coordinated a complete review of both schemes, identified an underpayment in the wife's EPF records from a job change in 2008, supported a correction request, and prepared full survivor pension documentation and a consolidated family record folder.
The Outcome
The EPF correction was processed. The survivor documentation is in place. The consolidated record has been filed and shared with the family. Engagement duration: approximately four months.
"We now have everything in one place, properly organised. That peace of mind is what we came for."
